The St. Augustine Amphitheatre could not operate without the help of outstanding volunteers. Ushers, parking attendants, tour guides, & many other important roles are filled by dedicated community members that donate their time and skills to the facility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still see Florida’s state play, The Cross & Sword?
The Cross & Sword is no longer in production. It was designated the Florida State Play in 1972 and ran for 32 great years.

Where is the St. Augustine Amphitheatre?

Where does the Amphitheatre Shuttle pick up?
The Amphitheatre Shuttle stops at the Parking Field behind RB Hunt elementary school on show day. Keep your eye out for AMPHITHEATRE SHUTTLE STOP signs.

How early should I arrive for a show?
We recommend that you arrive at least 1 hour prior to show time. This will give ample time to walk or shuttle in from the satellite parking areas, go through the ticket lines, get acquainted with the venue, & find your seat.

When are the movie nights? Are they really free?
The St. Augustine Amphitheater hosts movie nights every other Friday during the season. Yes, the movie & parking is free!

Does the Amphitheatre sell alcohol?
Alcoholic beverages will be sold at most Amphitheatre events.
The sale of alcohol will end 30 minutes prior to the end of the show.

Does the Amphitheatre sell food?
The Amphitheatre has onsite food vendors that everyone will enjoy.

How close are Anastasia State Park camping facilities to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre?
The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is literally a stone throw away from the Anastasia State Park Camping area. If you are looking for beautiful camping accommodations, close to the Amphitheatre and near the beach, we encourage you to stay at Anastasia State Park.

Where can I buy tickets to an event at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre?
Tickets for most shows are sold through Ticket Master unless otherwise noted.

When is the Amphitheatre box office open?
The Amphitheatre Box office is open two hours before show time on the day of show only. For advance tickets to an event, please go online to the Ticketmaster website.

Can I buy tickets day of show?
If there are tickets available they can be purchased at the box office day of show. The Amphitheatre Box Office is located directly in front of the Amphitheatre.

Where is Will Call?
Will Call is located at the far right hand window in the box office.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?
Ticket policies are set by the show promoter. Generally, if a child is old enough to occupy a seat, you must purchase a ticket.

What time do the gates open?
Gates will open an two hours prior to show time. We encourage event goers to arrive early for all events.

What amenities does the Amphitheater offer for the disabled?
Handicapped parking is located in the main parking lot on-site at the Amphitheatre. The Amphitheatre has 39 handicapped seats within seating areas and nearly every area of the theatre is handicapped accessible.

Can I bring in food from outside?  
No outside food, please! We have great on-site concessionaires that do their best to provide delicious, quality food to event goers.

Can I leave a show and then re-enter?
The St. Augustine Amphitheater does not allow re-entry for most events for security reasons. However, it may be allowed for some festivals or events. Please pay attention to the signage when purchasing your tickets to make sure you are aware of the events re-entry policy.

Will an event be cancelled because of weather?
Shows at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre are held rain or shine. During the spring and summer months it is not unusual for a large storm to come through in the afternoon and clear up for the evening. We encourage concert goers to please watch the weather and dress accordingly. Over 2,000 seates in the Amphitheatre are covered by a canopy that will provide some protection from the elements.

In the event that St. Johns County is under a hurricane watch or warning, all events WILL BE CANCELLED.  Please watch the St. Augustine Amphitheatre website (coming soon) for updates.

Where is the lost & found?
The lost & found is located in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre administration office. Please ask an Amphitheatre employee or volunteer for assistance or call (904) 471-1965.

Can I bring my pet?
The only pets allowed in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre are Certified Service animals.

What time do shows end?
The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is mandated in its lease from the State of Florida to end all entertainment by 10:30 PM.

Where is the First Aid Station?
The First Aid Station is located next to the men’s restrooms in the breezeway.
