North Florida Coastal Caretakers is partnering with the Green Hands Initiative to bring an environmentally conscious, family-friendly event, NOW! on Earth Fest, to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. This event is FREE to the public and will combine a morning beach cleanup, live music, games and activities for all ages, raffles, and other local organizations with an interest in protecting North Florida waters. The purpose of NOW! is to bring together the like-minded organizations and businesses of the community to create awareness of the dangers plastic waste has on our environment.
Live music from The Young Step, Observatory, Constant Swimmer and Jason Wall, beginning at 12:15PM!
Beach clean-up efforts will also take place in the morning from 9am to 11am at the following locations: Surfside Park at Vilano Beach, St. Augustine Beach Pier and Crescent Beach (beach entrance near South Beach Grill restaurant). NFCC provides gloves, bags, and grabbers while they last but encourages all volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle and sunscreen!
Sponsored by Jane West Law and Meehans Irish Pub.
